I was doing my daily Bible Study the other day in Numbers 27 as the transition from Moses to Joshua was taking place. As I was reading this I couldn’t help but make the comparison to what is going on a Springdale. After 21 years of leadership God has called David Butler to a new area of ministry.
While we don’t have the ceremony of the transition in that God spoke in Numbers we do have a part to play in the transition. That is to PRAY. After I finished my study I found my thoughts and prayers were going out to the Elders and the newly named Pastor Search team. Also I prayed for David and Gayle and God’s crystal clear leadership for them in the coming days.
While this can be a time of uncertainty God is moving in Springdale. These are exciting times. Let me encourage you to spend a dedicated time each day praying for Springdale and God’s plan for the next phase of life at Springdale.
